Hubby’s obsession with house flies triggers an equal effect on the family. The presence of a single fly in the house triggers a violent swatting frenzy. My family, especially my sisters, were surprised at first – with eyes rolling — at my husband’s pursuit of this harmless creature. My terrified mother does not move when the frenzy starts. When visiting my sister and her family, eyes lock fleetingly when a fly is seen or heard when hubby is around.
Nowadays, my mother and sister take no notice of his ‘fly pursuit’ and are now in awe of hubby’s prowess in hitting the target. Lucky for them they don’t live in my house.
